Mizrahi-Tefahot's Code of Ethics

We at Mizrahi Tefahot Bank Ltd undertake to conduct our relationships with our customers, colleagues and the organisation itself on the basis of the moral and humanitarian values that are customarily accepted in the most civilised of societies.
 
Reliability, trustworthiness and the safeguarding of human dignity will be characteristic of all our contact with those surrounding us, stemming from the philosophy that determines that a personal and professional relationship is only capable of being sustained if based on the highest moral foundation.
 
We shall perform our duties with a commitment to our customers and their interests and, at the same time, to the Bank and its goals, and we shall constantly strive to achieve excellence. We shall act with professional integrity, transparency and in a fair manner.
 
 

Creditability 

We shall perform our duties as employees of the Bank with honesty, integrity and good faith. We shall make every effort to maintain creditability and true reporting in all our relationships within the Bank and towards its customers.
 
 

Trustworthiness 

Loyalty to the personal and professional interests of our customers, on the one hand, and to the Bank and our colleagues, on the other hand, will guide all our activity. We shall always bear in mind that our customers place their confidence in us and entrust us with sensitive matters that are of the utmost importance to them. We shall, at the same time, loyally perform the duties that we owe at the Bank and act with determination towards its success and the development of its business.
 
 

Human dignity 

We shall respect the dignity of every person, whoever he or she may be, and pay equal attention to everyone, displaying sensitivity to their dignity and their interests. We shall take care to act towards our customers and colleagues with patience, tolerance and restraint and we shall adopt a professional and businesslike approach to them.
 
 

Excellence 

We shall act tirelessly towards improvement and self-improvement and towards advancement and progress, to enable us to provide our customers with the best service and the most suitable response to their varying needs. We shall perform our duties with devotion and diligence, and consistently strive for excellence, accomplishment and innovation in professional matters.
 
 

Commitment 

We shall regard ourselves as responsible for, and committed to, the promotion of our customers' financial interests and the achievement of the Bank's goals and business targets. We shall harness our professional knowledge, experience and abilities in order to help our customers achieve their financial aims, on the one hand, and to provide a significant contribution to the Bank's development and prosperity, on the other hand.
 
 

Integrity 

We shall act in accordance with uncompromising professional norms and base our activity on integrity and the highest personal and professional standards. We shall serve as an example to those around us through the honesty, integrity and clean-handedness with which we act towards our customers and colleagues and the Bank itself. We shall not act in a manner that is inconsistent with the provisions of law, the Bank's procedures or our code of ethics.
 
 

Fairness 

We shall have regard to the varied needs of our customers and deal with them and our colleagues fairly and reasonably. We shall act with care, consideration and reciprocity towards all those around us and regard ourselves as responsible for the well being of our customers and, at the same time, for the advancement of the Bank's business, which is the source of our livelihood.
 
 

Transparency 

We shall strive for transparency and clarity in our contacts with colleagues and customers and we shall give them the maximum information and the clearest and most complete picture possible on every subject in such a way as will enable them to make the best decisions. We shall act openly and in full cooperation with our subordinates and superiors at the Bank and in such a manner as to maintain the clearest possible working procedures and products.
